Carrier Resources

Important Carrier Info
Carrier Requirements

To ensure our hauls are completed efficiently by the carriers we employ, RRVB requires a few important pieces of information before you can start working with us. Compared to other brokers, we try to simplify the process for you.

Rock Guard

A rock guard system, which protects RVs from damage, must be installed on your hauling vehicle. RRVB will inspect the system prior to your first haul.

Bumper Pull Hitch

Your vehicle also needs a bump pull hitch. Everything hauled by RRVB use bumper pull hitches, and the heaviest haul we broker is 8,000 pounds.

Department of Transportation Operating Authority

If you don’t have an operating authority, we recommend using One Hour Authority, which fast tracks the process.

Insurance coverage

RRVB requires a copy of your Certificate of Insurance that demonstrates insurance coverage. The COI needs to name BOTH as additionally insured as well:

Cargo insurance coverage is also required at the following rates:

  • $150,000 for cargo coverage
  • $250,000 for multi-haul cargo

Signed Agreement

The final step to getting started hauling with RRVB is signing the agreement. A copy of our broker/carrier agreement can be found here.

Carrier Compensation Info

As RRVB continues to improve its systems, we expect that we will be able to expedite our pay processes. For now, any income from hauls completed Saturday through Friday is paid the following Friday, as long as all documents, receipts and invoices are submitted on time. Our pay rates are as follows:

Base Rates

  • $1.80 Single Pull
  • $2.83 Doubles
  • $3.50 Triples

Reimbursements

RRVB reimburses costs associated with tolls, permits and wash fees. Any receipts must be turned in with related carrier paperwork for each load in order for reimbursement approval.
